Hospice of Halifax, a component of Home Health and Hospice of Halifax, provides the special caring that terminally-ill patients and their families need during the end-stage of life.

Hospice exists neither to hasten nor to postpone death, but to affirm life. Hospice promotes the formation of caring communities that are sensitive to the needs of patients and their families at this time in their lives so that they may be free to attain that degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.

Many thanks to United Way, the community, physicians, county commissioners, Board of Health, hospice volunteers, and the Home Health and Hospice of Halifax staff.
